Ciken Ceasar Pita


I am NOT a pita fan, at all! Tapi this time, surrender ah. Once upon a time, i've been trying here and there, home cook or not but none that i like. Today, i see it in a whole diff way.. No idea that pita can be as good as this. Well, with the right combination, it definitely can bebeh. This is the first and totally not gonna be the last time im gonna make this. Gotta do this again and again! Besides, who can deny taaaaaasty yet healthy food rite?

Except the pita, everything else was self-made (by me of course). Its the combination of grilled ciken and the whole ceasar salad - which the gravy was the most important thing to do, to make a good salad. Its like every other good food that you feel when you put them in your mouth - combination of a good recipe. Wallah!

Orff's tongue i dont really trust coz he'll eat anything. But Anyea.. hmm.. worth believing. She can finish 2 of this, seriously. Well, enjoice!

Let see how to make this :

1. The Chicken
  • 3 large skinless ciken breast - lumur both side dgn garlic powder + thyme + rosemary. Sprinkle salt on it to taste, and grill (ovan atau pan grill pon boleh). Bila masak, sejukkan dan slice nipis2. Ketepikan.
2. The Salad
  • Combine 1/2 cup xtra virgin olive oil and minced garlic (kalo dapat grill dolo garlic ni lps tu smashed kan die lagi besh) - biarkan stengah jam.
  • Mixkan 1 tsp Worcestershire sos + 2 egg dlm oil tadi, dan pukul sampai die creamy. Add 1/2 tsp salt + 1/4 tsp ground pepper + 1/4 cup lemon juice. Pukulkan lagi.
  • Add 1/2 cup parmesan cheese and mix.
  • Gaulkan dengan salad pilihan anda.
3. Finale - The Pita
  • Beli roti pita dari memane store yg berdekatan. Boleh aje sama ada plain atau whole meal. Bentuknya bulat. Saya guna roti pita brand First Choice, memang sedap. Lepas beli kalau tak terus pakai, masukkan dlm peti sejuk spy tahan lama.
  • Potong pita kepada 2, dan panaskan di atas kuali dgn heat sederhana. Balik2kan sampai die jadi brownish. Angkat dan belah ditengahnye.
  • Sumbatkan salad + ciken grill tadi. Hidangkan.
