About less than 2 hour later.. wallah!! Well the look quite promising.. the taste? Let Orff try it. He is the food analyst anyway. Masa die masukkan daging tu dlm mulut.. aii... mcm tunggu keputusan SPM kuar je saspennye. Finally he said.. SHEDAPPP! Different dan shedap! Yay! Ye la first timer kan.. hehe.. next time leh buat lagi..
The meat was tender and juicy, the gravy taste unique due to the usage of the white and red grape juice (no usage of water at all)+ the herbs of thyme, parsley & rosemary. Orff's bro - Mat and partner Een is in the house, but a bit late, since they said they are not gonna have dinner here.. well.. too bad bebeh! U just missed one of the best roast beef in life.. habis licin dah.. ngeeeeee! Enjoice!
How To Doet?
- 2 chunk(ketul) of tender meat, any size for 2 person, takyah potong - lumurkan dengan salt & pepper
- Heat a bit of olive oil in the pot (thats why the name is pot roast)- if not pan also can lah, then broil pan the meat till half cooked (guna api perlahan)
- Angkat daging dan tepikan. Bekas minyak tadi, dgn api sederhana, masukkan 1 chopped onion, carrot & celery. Masak sampai layu
- Masukkan 2 labu garlic (takyah chop), parsley & rosemary sesedap rasa. Gaulkan seminit
- Masukkan 1 cup white grape juice --> masak sampai kuah pekat pakai api perlahan
- Masukkan daging tadi, golek2kan. Besarkan api & put in 2 cup red grape juice, few bay leaf, 2-3 chopped tomatoes (buang seed) --> didihkan
- Kecikkan api dan biarkan sampai kuah & daging jadi pekat & lembut
- Angkat daging dan potong2. Hidang atas pinggan dengan mashed potato, dan letakkan gravy di atasnye. Taraa!
