Hmm.. whats for breakfast? What about nasi goreng? Thats totally the timeless favorite menu for Orff ! breakfast and lunch and erkk.. dinner too! Well, can be as simple as it can be, or as heavy and bloody, depends on what you wanna do with your nasi goreng. Some people can make it light and easy to make, but some..probably not. Need to say, that nasi goreng can be so tempting once you eat it.. you can carry on eating and on.. and on.. and on.. but, too much of it will be a disaster to your health coz nasi + minyak and everything in between, NOT GOOD. If you're on diet especially, beware okay?
As for me, I like it simple. But the taste have to be PURRRFECT! Most importantly, less oil and lotsa vege, and neutralized with some protein as well.. hik hik! But one ingredient that cant be beat by anything else (instead of air tanganlah hehe) : put cili padi in it! Its Jawa style.. well actually more to our own family recipe. Jawa lain tak sure lah pulak.. tapi kalo tak cili padi tak cukup jawe lah kan. Enjoice!
The traditional way :
- Guna lesung batu dan tumbukkan cili api dan garam sampai lumat
- Masukkan bawang putih, tumbuk lagi tapi tak payah lumat sangat
- Masukkan bilis, tumbuk renyah2
- Masukkan bawang merah/besar tumbuk renyah2
- panaskan minyak, gorengkan sampai 70% garing - masa ni kene rase, kalau kurang garam dan perasa. Lidah kene power sikit sbb nak agak2 kang kalo masuk nasik tak payah dah letak garam lagi.
